So very hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner. Presents are wrapped, car is packed and we are ready for our road trip to Sydney.
December has flown by for us, busy, busy busy. Here's a look in photos ....
The big kids finished school on December 4 and immediately started annoying me! Jack was invited to the North Star Hippie party and had an absolute ball.
Jack was in the regional Darling Downs relay team that swam at the Queensland State Titles at Chandler in Brisbane. He also competed in 4 individual events during the week. He was second reserve for both 100m Freestyle and 200m Medley, came 6th in the 100m Butterfly final and 8th in the 100m Breaststroke Final. Swam all PBs and and did himself proud. Not a bad effort for a Gundy boy.
We spent the week at the Gold Coast and in between swimming squeezed in some beach and pool time. I started and finished all my Christmas shopping.
Evie turned 12 and part of her birthday present was tickets to Wet 'n Wild (or I like to call it Wet 'n Feral). We had a special birthday dinner and I organised an ice cream cake but forgot the matches.
We've also seen lots of Christmas lights, cooked and taste tested some Christmas goodies, finished Christmas present shopping and ready for the festivities to begin.
Today is Day 354 for Polly, not long now until she is a big one year old. Really does seem like yesterday that I praying to make it through Christmas without having to do a mad dash to hospital. And now we are an entire year later.
Everyday Polly is learning new things. Lots of new sounds and the beginnings of words. She says Uh Uh and shakes her head, says Doug and woofs, Bye Bye and waves. Loving all her babble too. She has her third tooth which is on the bottom too. All the other kids got two teeth on the bottom and then two teeth on the top, not Polly.
She is so close to walking, lots of furniture walking and standing up without holding onto anything. Eating more of our food, trying and liking most things. Loved the pool and the beach. She is really busy and loves to "play" with Fred. He, not so much!
She was very brave and had her photo with Santa, Granny is in the photo too. We tried to convince Fred to have a Santa photo too. All he said was that Polly is brave and so is Granny! He wasn't going to be shamed into anything.
Another layout created using the December Double Up pack (please excuse the crooked photo). Raingoats is a very funny story. Freddie and I were driving down town when he saw some Christmas decorations in a shop window.
He said, "Mum I know what Santa drives."
"Do you, what is it Fred?" I asked.
"It's a sleigh."
"Good boy, yes Santa does drive a sleigh. Do you know what pulls Santa's sleigh?"
"Yep, Santa has goats!"
It took all my restaint not to burst out laughing. I replied, " I think they are called reindeer."
"Oh yes, raingoats!" he declared proudly.
So cute and I just had to scrapbook it before it's forgotten.
Wish you and yours a very merry Christmas, hope that Santa and his "raingoats" find you. Thanks for stopping by.
