This week we spent the entire week at home. Both Fred and Polly had swimming lessons and the bigs were content to just hang out at home and with friends.
Polly's first every swimming lesson on Monday. She was very excited and we made a big deal out of buying brand new very pink goggles. Was looking good until she went through the gate into the pool area. She started crying, very loudly, and absolutely refused to get in the pool. Not the start to swimming lessons I had imagined. I quickly removed myself from the area and and listened to her cry from afar for 30 minutes. Thankfully, after a great deal of threatening from everyone in the family, she improved with the week.
Fred had his first block of lessons in the big pool. He was a little nervous but was totally fine. Surprise, surprise!
Choosing a treat from the pool canteen is a very big deal!
The upside of swimming lessons is that it tuckered them out for the day and they were both happy to have some quiet time when we got home.
Aunty Jill came out for an overnight visit which was lovely.
Finding time in Jack's busy social life to do some jobs. Car washed, check. Hedge trimmed, check.
Fred loving his new bike from Gran and Darra.
Polly demonstrating some safe driving in the big red car.
This is what our Sunday evening looked like. Eve and Jack on computers, Fred doing sight words, Polly lurking and Mum cooking dinner.
Thanks for stopping by.
