I thought about the month in review layout heaps ... I have been creating the month in review album for 5 years and it's hard to come up with different ideas ... then I had a lightbulb moment and decided to go with Becky Higgins Project Life format ... really like the end result and have the freedom to change it around a bit each month.

AROUND HERE ....

Goodness me, I week has passed and I am not sure what actually happened in those seven days as they flew by ... any given week around here at the moment seems to be an endless cycle of bottles, washing, picking up after kids, cooking and swimming ... a few photos to share from our week ...

Jack and Evie are happy to be back at school and like their teachers ... Australia Day on Thursday was spent at home relaxing ... Doug the Pug is growing rapidly and absolutely loves his bed ... another trip to Stanthorpe on Sunday for a swimming carnival.

Polly is still our dream baby and spends most of her day sleeping .... she is beginning to have a little more wake time and is becoming more interested in her surroudings ...

Day 21, my wool basket is just perfect for Polly, she looks awfully cosy.

Day 22, Polly is like clock work with her bottles .... 6, 10, 2, 6, 10, 2 .... she has 6 bottles a day every four hours ... sometimes I need to wake her but usually she wakes of her own accord .... she averages about 90ml per feed.

Day 23, B E A R Y cute ... I actually bought this sweet little beanie for Polly while I was still pregnant, from here ... it's a bit big for her but I just had to see how she looked ....

Day 24, ready for a town outing ... this gorgeous outfit was a gift and I just love it, such a shame that Polly will grow out of it so quickly.

Day 25, Polly hands are always up around her face.

Day 26, Polly survived her first swimming carnival ... here she is with the medal stash.

Day 27 , posing with Fred ... love that Fred looks tan for once in his life!

HOLIDAYS ARE OVER

Today, Jack and Evie started back at school ... no photos as it was a huge effort just getting them to school on time!  Finding it hard to believe that I have children in Year 7 and 6, Jack will  be off to High School next year ... when Evie starts High School, Freddie will start Primary School, I will be making school lunches  F O R E V E R !  Both the big kids were happy to start school today, but Freddie was a bit lost without his mates.  Thank goodness for Doug the Pug.

Polly continues to be the perfect baby ... Saturday was Day 18 and we drove to Toowoomba and back without any dramas ... Polly spent the day with Gran and Darra while we did some shopping jobs ...

She loves to throw her arms up around her head and her hands always manage to come unswaddled.

Yesterday was Day 19 .... here are the girls together ... Evie is a fabulous helper with Polly ... she loves to help give Polly her bottle and is great at burping her ... I actually missed her help today (but I didn't miss her and Jack arguing).  Evie chose the headband for Polly while we were shopping on Saturday, we had so much fun selecting a few new things for Miss Polly.

Today, Day 20, enjoying some quiet time with Polly .... life has been crazy busy since we came home from hospital, so today it was nice to relax a little ... tiredness is beginning to set in and hoping to catch up on some nanna naps this week.

DAYS 16 AND 17

Here is our little pudding ready for her first Swimming Club Night ... she slept all the way to town, slept through the entire Club Night even when I gave her her bottle and slept all the way home ... you are a good little pudding Polly!

Today, Day 17, last day of holidays for the big kids .... 8 feet all lined up in a row, look how massive Fred's fee look ...

this one makes me smile, love Polly's little arm up in the air, looks like she is saying, "Hey, here I am guys, don't forget about me!"

Two weeks and two days, it just seems so much longer, can't imagine life without those chubby little cheeks.

SLOW DOWN POLLY

Has is already been two weeks since Polly made her grand entrance into the world???  In some ways it feels like she has been with us forever and then in other ways, it seems like just yesterday that we were checking into hospital.  I am treasuring every little moment with baby Polly but she is growing before our very eyes ....

Yesterday was Day 14 and Polly loves to get her fingers in her mouth, she is very good at it! 

Day 15 today and how sweet is this photo! 

And this one .... look at those chubba cheeks, they are just so squeezable.

I can't tell you how lovely baby Polly is, I could look at her all day long.  Unfortunately that is  N E V E R going to happen with three other kids demanding my attention.

It's taken almost 3 weeks, but I have finally completed a layout ....

COUNTRY SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Saturday, Jack and Evie competed in the Country Championships held in Stanthorpe .... this carnival involves all the country clubs in our region ... we are so lucky that Goondiwindi has such a strong Swimming Club, thanks mainly to great coaches ... the whole team did really well, winning the overall points tally for another year ... Jack and Evie swam really well too ...

Evie competed in 4 x 50m events and swam 3 PBs .... she took 4 seconds off her butterfly and came 5th overall which was exciting ... she was happy with all of her swims and already looking forward to her next carnival.

Jack competed in 11 events ... he received 10 firsts and 1 second ... he also broke 4 records and was awarded 12 Year Old Boy Age Champion .... needless to say, he was happy with his efforts.  I can't tell you how happy swimming makes both Jack and Evie ... they love training, they love competing and they particularly love all the friendships they make along the way ... such a great sport when they are young.

Yesterday was Day 12 for Miss Polly ...

I love to swaddle my newborns up nice and tight, they seem to love it and sleep for hours!

Today was Day 13, look at our little pudding, creases everywhere, obviously Polly is in a good paddock.

POLLY'S 365 PHOTOS ....

Polly continues to be the dream baby ... she sleeps, she feeds and she sleeps some more ... when she actually cries, we all jump because it is so rare for her to cry ... I am crossing all my body parts that she stays like this.

Tuesday was Day 7 and Polly had her first outing to town for swimming training ... she also decided that 2am was a good time to stay awake and check out the world ... thank goodness she hasn't repeated that trick.

Each day her skin becomes a little less red and some of the swelling in her face goes down.

Wednesday, a week old already and having her first photo with Daddy .... Polly is starting to open her eyes more, not sure what colour peepers she is going to have ... I say brown like her big sister and Dad.

She loves to suck her fingers .... a definite thumb sucker if we let her.

Thursday was Day 9 and also Jack's birthday ... a busy day and this was the only photo snapped ... sitting in the bouncer waiting for a bottle.

Friday, Day 10 and my favourite photo so far ... Polly had another outing to town, and when we got home she was actually wide awake so we had a little photo shoot ...

Freddie decided to have a photo shoot with Dougie at the same time  ....

Yesterday was Day 11, this photo was snapped bright and early before we headed off to Stanthorpe at 6am ... Freddie and Polly stayed at home with Granny and Darra.

Polly has been home for an entire week and already we can't imagine life without her, she is the sweetest baby.  Thanks for stopping by.

 

 

 

PROUD OWNERS OF A 12 YEAR OLD ...

Yesterday was Jack's 12th birthday .... twelve whole years ago that we became parents for the first time .... who could ever forget all that emotion of having your first newborn placed on your chest for the very first time ... seems like only yesterday and now he is almost a teenager already full of hormones!  Funny how you are always on a learning adventure with your first born ... happy birthday to our big boy.

He had a cake at the pool after swimming training and then a cake last night at home ... he also managed to bog the four wheeler and Brett's ute, so his 12th birthday will always be memorable! Here is a look back at our mini man .....

DAY 6

Our first full day at home with Polly, lots of time for some photos ...

a morning cuddle to get the day started.

Evie is so disappointed that Polly only has one bath a day and she is insisting that Polly needs to change into PJs for night time ... seriously, what is the point, she sleeps all day.  Evie has all Polly's clothes planned for the next fortnight.

He loves her so much and it looks like she already thinks he is funny!

If I am holding Polly, Freddie likes to give his baby a cuddle too ...

Doug the Pug is almost as cute as Polly.  I am sure that tomorrow will bring more photo opportunities!  Just need to find some scrapbooking time .... thanks for stopping by.

 

INTRODUCING MISS POLLY LOUISE PROSSER ....

Here is our gorgeous girl, Miss Polly born on Wednesday January 4 at 11:23am weighing a healthy 4600 grams and measuring 56cm long ...

We checked into hospital at 5:30am, and my waters were broken.  Contractions started pretty much straight away and progressed quickly.  There was no time for any drugs and our beautiful girl was born at 11:23 after only about 30 minutes of intense contractions and pushing.  Our obstetrician didn't make it for Polly's arrival, just the clean up!  Let's hope that she is always so easy.

Here she is being weighed, only slightly smaller than Freddie. She was so hungry and Brett gave her a bottle straight away, then she sucked intensely on all her fingers until the next bottle.

Brett phoned home to let the kids know that they had a new baby sister, they were all thrilled, particularly Eve.  My sister Bron and her daughter Jess were first to meet Polly as they were passing through Toowoomba on their way to the Coast, she was only minutes old.

We returned to our room by 1:00pm, had lunch and couldn't stop looking at our little girl.

 

She had her first bath that afternoon.

And from those very early moments has pretty much slept, fed 3 - 4 hourly and slept some more.  She is a delight. 

I was so content to spend my days in hospital just gazing at her and enjoying lots of peaceful cuddles.

Jack, Eve and Fred came to the hospital on Friday to meet their baby sister for the first time ...

Fred was so funny, he kept saying over and over again, "He is so cute!"  Polly got the tick of approval from all of them.

And why wouldn't she, she is seriously sweet.

We checked out of hospital yesterday and arrived home yesterday afternoon.  Happy to be home but a little sad to have our peaceful cuddles limited!

There will be many more photos of Polly to come, endeavouring to take a photo a day for her first year.
