Lately I have been needing some motivation to get scrapping. I have plenty of photos and plenty of supplies just needing inspiration. So I decided to play along with the Jot Magazine Mood Board challenge.
Really loved all the bright colours and also the idea of the large title. Here is what I created.
Pretty much all the products on my layout are from the deep depths of my extensive scrapping supply stash.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks JOT for the challenge.
An entire week at home. Big news this week was Freddie's first rugby training session. Thankfully he loved it. Also breaking news was the arrival of new chickens.
I'm not really sure when exactly Peppa Pig became Polly's obsession. She really loves George and Peppa and they always go to bed with her. She absolutely loves watching Peppa Pig on TV and not a day goes by when she doesn't play with her little Peppa Pig figurines. A favourite for sure.
Brett and Fred went on a sneaky little fishing adventure to try out the new tinnie. Fred caught a fish, too small to keep but his first catch anyway.
On Thursday Fred had his first taste of rugby. I picked him up from school and explained that we needed to go and buy his footy boots. He said, "Don't you mean soccer boots?" For some reason he wanted to play soccer. Anyway, he selected his own boots, got the socks and shorts and was warming to the idea of playing rugby. It only took the first 10 minutes of training until he was fully hooked. So much so that he put on his new footy boots after school on Friday and sat on the couch and played the ipad!
Finally finished Polly's crochet blanket. Pretty much made from scraps, happy with how it turned out.
Play dough was a big hit this week.
On Saturday we had 7 chickens hatch. Seven out of 24 eggs and sadly two chickens didn't make it. So we have five. They are very cute but goodness me they poo an awful lot!
I actually can't remember the last time that I created a layout using whatever supplies I had lying around. It's been a very long time. It was fun using materials that were on my desk and not thinking too much.
I actually subscribed to the Studio Calico Project Life Kit just to keep me motivated. On this layout are a few different things that were included in the kit.
Will be back soon with some more layouts created with a DOUBLE UP pack.
This week we enjoyed a little mini break at the beach.
Fred had a very short week at school. He went on Monday. Tuesday he was sick. And Wednesday we headed to the Coast.
We watched Evie swim as part of the St Hilda's swim team at the QGSSSA Swimming Championships. She swam in the 50m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle and the Freestyle relay. Three PBs out of three swims.
Thursday was a glorious day spent at the beach and the pool. We had Evie out for dinner leave and then took her back to school.
On Friday Jack swam as part of the Nudgee Swim Team at the GPS swimming championships. He swam in the 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly and the Medley relay. He came 5th in both his individual events and his medley relay team came second.
The remainder of the weekend was spent at the beach or by the pool or just chilling out. Long drive home Sunday night.
The big news this week was that Polly learnt to climb out of her cot. Evie went on Grade 8 camp and Freddie was awarded Student of the Week.
Polly got some new boots which she insisted on wearing all day long.
Enjoying some pool time. Polly particularly likes afternoon tea at the pool.
Fred receiving his Student of the Week award on assembly and also with his gorgeous teacher. I am sure that he was excited on the inside.
This is what happens when a certain two year old keeps climbing out of the cot. Polly has always been keen to go to bed but now with her new climbing skills, she is keen to get out of bed. Day time sleeps are much shorter and whe is getting up much earlier in the morning. Here she is having a little power nap during Play School.
Fred drawing a picture for his big brother.
Fred teaching Polly how to scooter.
Downloaded some Peppa Pig episodes on the ipad, or Hi Pad as Polly calls it. Excellent move for one tired and grumpy two year old.
Friday afternoon happy hour and ski. Freddie standing up on the knee board just like his big brother!
